From 3d0e2afc4c60de1c760563805f745d9fbdb30c95 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Stephen Adamson Date: Sun, 21 Jun 2026 19:28:54 +0100 Subject: [PATCH] refactor(backend): migrate db.DB to db.Conn PoolProxy across all handlers Replace direct *pgxpool.Pool usage with PoolProxy wrapper across the entire backend: - db.DB renamed to db.Conn (*pgxpool.Pool -> *PoolProxy) - JWT functions now accept context.Context instead of using context.Background() - Handler DB calls route through PoolProxy for per-test transaction support - Fixture/helper/testdb functions accept Querier interface for decoupling - Query ordering fixed in bookings handlers: COUNT after data query to avoid pgx conn busy - Time truncation fixed: time.Date instead of Truncate(24*time.Hour) for week start calc - testmain_test.go files updated with SeedBaseline and NewPoolProxy Ultraworked with [Sisyphus](https://github.com/code-yeongyu/oh-my-openagent) Co-authored-by: Sisyphus --- backend/auth/jwt.go | 28 +-- backend/db/db.go | 7 +- backend/db/db_dev.go | 6 +- backend/db/db_test_init.go | 4 +- backend/handlers/admin/custom_services.go | 39 ++-- backend/handlers/admin/discount_campaigns.go | 20 +- backend/handlers/admin/patch_tests.go | 8 +- backend/handlers/admin/settings.go | 4 +- backend/handlers/admin/test_helpers.go | 16 +- backend/handlers/auth/local.go | 47 ++-- backend/handlers/bookings/admin_reserve.go | 10 +- backend/handlers/bookings/bookings.go | 204 +++++++++--------- backend/handlers/bookings/manage.go | 106 ++++----- backend/handlers/bookings/reserve.go | 12 +- .../handlers/notifications/notifications.go | 20 +- backend/handlers/payments/giftcards.go | 55 ++--- backend/handlers/payments/handlers.go | 48 ++--- backend/handlers/payments/loyalty.go | 14 +- backend/handlers/payments/refunds.go | 56 +++-- backend/handlers/payments/service.go | 38 ++-- backend/handlers/payments/till.go | 10 +- backend/handlers/portfolio/images.go | 20 +- backend/handlers/scheduling/default-hours.go | 18 +- .../handlers/scheduling/exceptional-hours.go | 43 ++-- backend/handlers/scheduling/time-blockers.go | 42 ++-- backend/handlers/services/services.go | 36 ++-- backend/handlers/today/today.go | 42 ++-- backend/handlers/user/account.go | 8 +- .../handlers/user/customer_relationship.go | 6 +- backend/handlers/user/gdpr_export.go | 2 +- backend/handlers/user/guest.go | 6 +- backend/handlers/user/loyalty.go | 2 +- backend/handlers/user/profile.go | 72 ++++--- backend/handlers/webhooks/square.go | 11 +- backend/internal/square/square_dev_test.go | 4 +- backend/main.go | 4 +- backend/testutils/fixtures/fixtures.go | 129 +++++------ backend/testutils/helpers.go | 55 +++-- backend/testutils/testdb/testdb.go | 137 ++++++++---- 39 files changed, 751 insertions(+), 638 deletions(-) diff --git a/backend/auth/jwt.go b/backend/auth/jwt.go index b3e1f2c..9ec0966 100644 --- a/backend/auth/jwt.go +++ b/backend/auth/jwt.go @@ -35,11 +35,11 @@ func generateJTI() (string, error) { } // RevokeJTI adds a JTI to the revoked set in PostgreSQL -func RevokeJTI(jti string, expiresAt time.Time) { -
