1. What These Terms Cover

+ These Gift Card Terms apply to all gift cards, vouchers, and prepaid balances issued by + Crussell Salon ("we", "us", "our"). They supplement our + Terms & Conditions. +

2. Buying a Gift Card

  • + Online: via our website (card or saved payment method). Online purchases are + £10, £20, or £50. +

  • + In the salon: cash, card, or other accepted payment methods. In-store purchases + and top-ups can be for any amount over £0. +

  • + As a gift: purchased for another person (the recipient receives the gift card + code). +

+ Each gift card has a unique 12-character code. Treat the code like cash: anyone who has it + can spend it. +

3. Expiry

+ Gift cards expire 24 months after their last use (rolling expiry). Each use resets + the 24-month period. +

  • + "Last use" includes redeeming the card to an account, topping it up, checking the balance, + using it to pay, or any action we take on the card. +

  • Your gift card code and its expiry date are always available in your account.

  • + If a gift card expires, the balance is not lost: it moves to our recovery system, and we + can restore it when you get in touch with the card code. There is no deadline on recovery + claims. +

4. Using Your Balance

You can use a gift card in two ways:

  • + Pay directly with the code at checkout — the amount is deducted from + the card's balance, and the remaining balance stays on the card (subject to expiry). You can + split a payment across multiple cards or methods. +

  • + Redeem to your account balance — the full value moves to your account + balance, which does not expire (although your account may be deleted after 5 years of inactivity). + Once redeemed, the card can no longer be used. +

  • Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash.

  • Gift cards cannot be used to buy other gift cards.
    • +
  • Gift cards are non-transferable after redemption to an account balance.

  • + Lost or stolen cards: we cannot replace a lost or stolen card unless we have + a record of the purchase and can verify it. +

5. VAT

+ Gift cards are treated as single-purpose vouchers (SPVs) under UK VAT law. The salon is not + currently VAT registered, so no VAT is charged on gift cards today. If and when the salon + registers for VAT, VAT will be charged at the point of purchase (the SPV treatment), not at + redemption — paying with a gift card will then attract no additional VAT. +

6. Refunds and Cancellation

+ Non-refundable except where the law requires: except for the 14-day right + to cancel described below, and except as required by consumer law or by an express refund we + offer under our + cancellation policy, gift cards and gift-card balances are non-refundable — they are not + redeemable for cash (unless required by law). +

+ 14-day right to cancel online purchases: if you buy a gift card online, the Consumer + Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 give you a 14-day + right to cancel, running from the day after purchase. You can cancel in-app from your account + (Account → Gift Cards) within 14 days — you'll need the gift card code. If the card + is unused, we refund the full purchase amount; if it has been partly used on salon services, we + refund the unspent balance (the amount already spent is not refundable). The card is then cancelled, + so any remaining balance can no longer be spent. A card that has been redeemed to an account balance + or fully spent cannot be cancelled. Refunds are made to the original payment method within 14 + days. +

7. Governing Law
